About Entrepreneurial Mindset Program (ITIs and Schools):

At Udhyam we believe in the learning principles of student autonomy, “learning by doing” and “Real world experiences”. What better way to build entrepreneurial mindsets than trying business projects hands on?

In Kerala, Udhyam has built a robust collaboration with the State ITI department to roll out our Project based curriculum across all ITIs in the state.  The curriculum is designed to serve as a pre-incubation curriculum, which can lead to viable business projects that potentially get incubated into sustainable businesses. Our mission is t o create a robust model which leads to incubation and entrepreneurship of ITI students and beyond.  The curriculum has been designed based on the principles of Student Led Learning, where students are empowered to facilitate classrooms and navigate the entire learning journey with the guidance of their instructors, who play a mentoring role.

We are looking for a State Operations Lead for Kerala, who will be a part of the core team,  work closely with the government partners and Udhyam’s internal teams to maximise reach and impact of the program in the State.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Operations:  Manage state programs and drive towards achieving an inspiring vision and mission for the state. Responsible for end to end operations and delivery.  Responsible for monitoring government regulations and guiding public policy.
• Stakeholder Management: Work with multiple stakeholders and build strong working relationships across government officials, partner organisations, resource persons, school principals and teachers. Serve as the Site Lead for the program.
• Program Strategy and Management: Define program goals and implementation strategy, prepare and execute project plan, define and evolve ownership areas of team members and stakeholders, regularly review progress and strategy
• Data Management: Create structures and build capacity within the team to collect and analyse- implementation data and take data based decisions
• Evangelize Udhyam’s mission, values and organisational policies to all stakeholders.

Skills, Experience & Mindsets :

• Must be willing to be based in Kerala and travel regularly within the state.
• 10-12 years of experience working collaboratively with govt stakeholders on large scale programs.
• Experience in the Education sector is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English, Malayalam and Tamil.
• Accountable for the quality and timeliness of the outcomes achieved through the programs.
• Hands on, bias for action and willingness to pilot and experiment new models that can significantly enhance entrepreneurial footprint in the state.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
• Effective People Management and Leadership capabilities are essential.
• Strong experience owning the State Project budgets and financials.
• An independent thinker and problem solver, with the ability to navigate uncertainty
• Comfortable with MS Office
