Qualification:
MPT- Pediatrics / Paediatric Physiotherapy is an added advantage

Experience:
A minimum of 5 -8 years in the Paediatrics field serving any of the areas related to autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, mmultiple disabilities, chronic mental illness, dementia and other disabling conditions or in the area of Locomotors Impairmen

35-40

Necessary Skills : 

The candidate must have skills and professional qualities to be able to coordinate all aspects of intervention like physiotherapy, speech intervention and other skills. Some of the most important skills needed are good organization and collaboration skills, high energy level, ability to multi-task, and comprehension of medical terminology and unusual medical conditions, must also have an aptitude for and fundamental understanding of early childhood development as well as educational practices to meet and foster cognitive, physical, and emotional needs and development. Must have the ability to work with parents and community.

Detailed Job Description

  • The candidate must be able to lead a team, Guide and train if necessary in planning and executing the early intervention program.
  • Help children at the earliest signs of educational or developmental difficulty to prevent further delay as the child progresses.
  • Plan and execute physiotherapy, speech therapy and educational inputs to all children identified.
  • Assist to develop and implement the screening and identification program in institution, Districts & RSO partners
  • Plan and implement intervention for children identified.
  • Implement the agreed plans of the program & to ensure that the set targets are met in time.
  • Develop feedback mechanism from the stakeholders.
  • Assist to Develop of the training materials required for the program
  • Ensure the data entry by the team and Database generation of identified cases and referral institutes
  • Initiate, Guide, train and ensure implementation of RSO & District early intervention program as per the plan.
  • Develop a sustainable capacity building contents and manuals for EI related stakeholders (Staff, Parents, Angawadi, Asha, ANM, VRW, MRW, RBSK, medical & allied health professionals)
    Regular interaction with the experts from the field to keep the program abreast of the latest developments
  • Documentation of the activities undertaken to facilitate policy intervention
  • Periodic visit to Districts and RSO partners & support, review, monitoring and evaluation of the program.
  • Run and oversee the early intervention unit effectively and ensure children identified attend.
  • Improve the institutional facilities as per the need and trend in the rehabilitation field.
  • Train or facilitate training of staff as and when needed.
  • Co-ordinate with existing Doctors and build new relationships with new professionals and institutes to bring in expert intervention in to EI.
  • Ensure periodic completion of documentation like weekly, monthly, quarter, half year and annual report of the department and ensure MIS as per project requirement
