Job Opportunity for Chief Development Officer at The Nudge in Bengaluru

About The/Nudge:

The/Nudge is an action institute working towards a poverty-free India, within our lifetime. We partner with governments, markets, and civil society to build resilient livelihoods for all. We are a collective of some of India’s best leaders and entrepreneurs from across the industry, academia, government, and development sectors, and our work is organized across three impact streams:

• Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE): exists to enable underprivileged youth to lead flourishing lives
• Centre for Rural Development (CRD): exists to enable families to come out of extreme poverty
• Centre for Social Innovation (CSI): exists to nudge top talent to solve India’s biggest challenges

As the ‘Chief Development Officer’ at The/Nudge, you will bring in all the support we need from external stakeholders towards our poverty alleviation work, covering 3 go-to-market functions:

(a) Partnerships: global fundraising partnerships covering foundations, corporates, HNIs, and big aid

(b) Alliances: global non-fundraising partnerships covering government, markets, academic institutions, etc

(c) Marketing: covering all segments (talent, donors, programs, social entrepreneurs, etc) and sub-functions (brand, digital, social, content, design, PR & communications)

You will work closely with the Founder & CEO to align on the overall strategy for this team and with complete ownership, deliver on our aspirations from this team.

• own our overall strategy and goals for partnerships, alliances, and marketing functions
• role model ‘the spirit of The/Nudge’ in your action and behavior
• coach and mentor each functional leader within the team
• build systems, processes, and capabilities needed to raise funds and bring support in order to
• enable all our programs to deliver and scale their impact
• collaborate extensively with other internal stakeholders to drive results
• balance current priorities to deliver short-term results while enabling success in the future
