Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic direction of Aangan programs, working
with the COO to set overall programmatic plans and priorities for the
organisation, including developing new donor relationships and
partnerships. - Supervise and support Program Heads in developing their
intervention strategies, managing their teams and budgets, and
operational troubleshooting. - Provide thought leadership on key issue areas relevant to child
protection and evolving concepts such as systems thinking and
impact measurement. - Represent Aangan at external meetings and public events, donor
visits, and Board meetings. - Working with the COO to allocate and provide sound fiduciary
oversight of the Program budget
Oversee the consistent application of Aangan’s program quality
standards and approaches for reporting, safeguarding and capacity
building (with support from colleagues in other teams, including
Knowledge and Impact, Content, Communication, and donor
reporting teams). - Contribute to team building of dispersed and diverse staff by
leading regular team meetings and video calls and identifying
opportunities to foster connections and a culture of consultation and
inclusion among staff.

Qualifications and Experience
- Strategic thinker and program implementer with significant
experience in child rights and/or human rights and/or gender,
including significant experience in strategy and program
development - Significant experience working with program development in
different states. - Experience managing and developing diverse teams.
Demonstrated track record of partnership-building with a wide
range of stakeholders and successful personal engagement with
funders. - Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree desirable.

human rights issues. - Commitment to excellence with an exceptional work ethic, strong
organisational skills, a knack for multi-tasking and a can-do
attitude. - Ability to motivate and support direct reports and build a high
functioning team incorporating diverse viewpoints.
Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills with
ability to communicate with passion to a variety of stakeholders;
other languages (especially Hindi) is a desirable plus.
