Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Urban Health Team (National, State and City) and state government counterparts to develop, implement, and monitor state specific TB activities including the development of roadmaps, work plans, activities, etc.
- Provide technical insights and expertise on TB to develop and shape the strategies for providing comprehensive primary health care at the facility and outreach.
- Liaison and support the Government at the State level as per the need to develop and execute strategies for integrating TB services within the HWCs.
- Support in developing capacity-building tools, learning resource packages, capacity-building plans, etc.
- Execute training and capacity building of healthcare providers and front-line workers on TB services in collaboration with state government.
- Provide technical assistance to government counterparts in state, district, or city on program aspects of disease surveillance, One Health, and zoonotic diseases-related activities.
- Support the state and intervention cities in the development of State and City Action Plans for Rabies Elimination and facilitate the activities and coordination between state and district surveillance teams.
- Prepare technical reports, impactful presentations, and documentation under the project.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time for the smooth functioning of the program and to achieve program goals.
- Available to travel up to 20-30% of the time.
Required Experience and qualifications.:
- BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ B.Sc. Nursing is preferred with an essential Master/ PG Diploma in Public Health or Health Management.
- At least 2-3 years of professional experience in public health.
- Prior experience working with the National TB Program and other infectious diseases is desirable.
- Technical knowledge and field experience in planning and implementation of public health programs.
- Experience with INGOs in the health sector and/ or Ministries of Health, government is preferable.
- Familiarity with Indian public health system, flagship initiatives in health sector and relevant government policies/ strategies particularly NHM, NUHM, Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centers, PM-ABHIM, XV-FC etc.
Skills/ Abilities: - Self-starter and committed to performing their duties with a high degree of autonomy and independence in line with project goals and objectives.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi.
- Direct experience of independently liaising with government health functionaries, district level administrators and other development partners.
- Data analysis, data visualization, analytical thinking and strong coordination skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate in a matrix organizational structure.
- Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook & Web surfing to search relevant data & documents.
- Ability to handle a variety of assignments under pressure of deadlines.
Note: This position is currently till September 30, 2024 with a possibility of extension based on the availability of funds and extension of the project.
