About the position

PATH is seeking a Program Associate – Health Systems Strengthening (HSS) on Third Party Payroll- (Randstad) for the implementation and rollout of the existing health system strengthening projects under the Technology Innovation and System Strengthening (TIS) vertical and to support the leadership in developing new projects and proposals contributing in the expansion of the TIS portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Technology, Innovation, and System strengthening (TIS) vertical’s national and state teams in the planning, execution, and monitoring of ongoing projects including the development of roadmaps, work plans, activities, reports, etc.
  • Assist in the development of innovative strategies and approaches to enhance vertical portfolio in the health system strengthening.
  • Assist the Lead-HSS in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and potential partners in the field of health system strengthening.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform strategic planning and decision-making for new business initiatives.
  • Support in identifying, mapping, and engaging with potential donors, partners, and stakeholders to explore new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for new initiatives.
  • Assist in the creation and development of competitive proposals, concept notes, and grant applications.
  • Monitor the progress of new business development initiatives and report on key metrics and outcomes.
  • Support and facilitate in the development of partnership agreements and memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and design engaging presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine and finalize documents and presentations.
  • Undertake other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the national leadership.
  • Available to travel to states up to 20-30% of the time.
     

Required Experience and qualifications.

  • MBBS/BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ B.Sc. Nursing is preferred with an essential Master/ PG Diploma in Public Health or Health Management.
  • At least 0-1 years of experience in the public health sector focusing on planning and implementation of public health programs and research.
  • Prior experience of working in similar roles is desirable.
  • Technical knowledge of global health issues and health systems strengthening frameworks.
  • Field experience in planning and implementation of public health programs.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects and understanding of donor requirements.
  • Experience with INGOs in the health sector and/ or Ministries of Health, and the government is preferable.
  • Familiarity with the Indian public health system, flagship initiatives in the health sector, and relevant government policies/ strategies particularly NHM, NUHM, Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centers, PM-ABHIM, XV-FC, etc.
     

Skills/ Abilities:

  • Self-starter and committed to performing their duties with a high degree of autonomy and independence in line with project goals and objectives.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi.
  • Experience in project implementation and/or new business development.
  • Direct experience in independently liaising with government health functionaries, donor agencies, other development partners.
  • Data analysis, data visualization, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong coordination and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Computer proficiency with a high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word,
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Web surfing to search relevant data & documents.
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments under the pressure of deadlines.
