Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
- Spoken English is mandatory.
- Interest in photography with working knowledge of the basics of manual camera operation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
- Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Skills required: - Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects..
- Effective written and spoken communication skills for collaboration within the darkroom team.
- Technical troubleshooting skills to address equipment issues promptly.
- A sensitivity and understanding of colour and ability to fine-tune images based on observation and practice.
- Understanding of archival practices and preservation techniques is a plus.
Responsibilities - Operate flatbed and DSLR scanners to digitise diverse media formats, ensuring high-quality image capture.
- Conduct routine maintenance on scanning equipment to uphold optimal performance standards.
- Collaborate with the darkroom team to coordinate and prioritise scanning projects efficiently.
- Ensure accurate colour calibration and resolution settings during the scanning process.
- Implement organisational systems for the efficient management of scanned files and metadata.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to scanning equipment and communicate with relevant support teams when needed.
- Adhere to established protocols for handling and preserving delicate originals during the scanning process.
- Maintain detailed documentation of scanning procedures and project progress
