Job Opportunity for Research Intern – Technology Futures At Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), New Delhi

Responsibilities
Research and analysis

• Conduct technology-based research on existing and emerging mineral exploration, mining, and processing technologies and methods.
• Compile information on the infrastructure and skills required for efficient mineral extraction and processing.
• Gather data on the power requirements for mining and processing operations.
• Analysing existing literature, reports, and data from publicly available sources such as the Indian
• Bureau of Mines, Geological Surveys of various countries such as the GSI, USGS, and BGS, and
• Think Tanks to extract valuable insights that highlight policy implications of identified gaps/ promising areas related to the supply chain dynamics of these minerals.
• Software and Tools Required: Fundamental knowledge and experience with basic computer software, including Microsoft 365.

Programme Assistance

• Assist with programme structuring and project implementation, including preparing presentations, factsheets and other communication material.
• Contribute to reports and other research products as part of the research team.
• Accompany team members for meetings with other stakeholders; prepare minutes of the meetings and assist with relevant follow-up.
• Assist in organising webinars, workshops and roundtables as part of the team’s outreach activities.
  Selection Criteria
  Qualification:
• Recently passed or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s (3rd year onwards)/ Master’s with excellent communication skills and experience in the Metallurgy/ Minerals/ Mining/ Chemical sector or related programmes.
• Candidates in public policy or related fields with 0 – 1 year of relevant research experience will also be considered.
