ChildFund is a child-focused international development organization that works in 23 countries to connect children with the people, resources and institutions they need to grow up healthy, educated, skilled and safe, no matter where they are. ChildFund India has collaborated with Olam Food Ingredients (OFI) with a goal to establish child-friendly communities in the cumin and chili supply chains in the states of Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.  This project will implement actions to reduce child vulnerabilities by improving livelihoods of farmers, workers, and farming communities. 

 

**About This Role**

 

The Project Manager will lead ChildFund India’s Project titled “Tackling the root causes of child labour in India spices supply chains” in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The responsibilities include project planning, implementation, monitoring, ensuring program quality & effectiveness, providing strategic guidance to the project team to achieve project outcomes, budget control & management, donor reporting, and cross functional coordination.

 

**Job Location:** Delhi, India

 

**Experience Required:**

 

* 7-10 years of experience in the NGO sector, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing and leading specific projects/programs.

* Proven experience in building networks and developing relationships with stakeholders (both government and non-government) at the district and state level.

* Demonstrated experience in capacity building of staff and partners, including training, mentoring, and leadership.

 

**Education Requirements:**

 

* Post graduate degree in Social Work / Rural Development

**Primary Responsibilities:**

 

* Overall implementation of the project in Barmer and Jaisalmer regions of Rajasthan and Bhadrachalam region of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

* Setting up & equipping the project office, team building (support for recruitment, induction, and capacity building of staff).

* Identification, assessment, and finalization of CSOs for collaboration.

* Ensure the smooth implementation of the project as per the approved plan, meeting the compliance requirements and establishing systems and processes to monitor progress.

* Managing the team and providing necessary guidance and support.

* Be accountable for accomplishing the project milestones, enhance relationship and networking with other stakeholders such as government departments, agencies, NGOs, technical/ resource agencies, local authorities, elected representatives, people’s organizations, local farmers, communities, etc.

* Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews with the project staff and report on progress with feedback for further improvement on a regular basis.

* Work closely with ChildFund India’s national team in program and financial management related matters.

* Support in identifying consultants & resource agencies for the project.

* Represent the organization in appropriate external forums.

* Ensure that periodic and qualitative reports are submitted as per the agreed timeline.

* Ensure that monitoring and tracking requirements are met and requisite controls are in place. Provide required feedback with corrective measures on a regular basis.

* Be responsible to collect, program/project updates, analyze information, and generate reports for dissemination to internal and external audiences.

* Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Line Manager.
