**Job Description**

 

**Position:** Program Associate

 

**Location:** Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India

 

**Type:** Full-Time

**Reporting to:** State Head – Madhya Pradesh

 

**Travel Requirements:** Approximately 30% travel is expected.

 

**Job Summary:**

 

The Program Associate will support the State Head in creating project reports and briefs for governments, donors, and senior leadership as needed. This includes attending various government review meetings at the state, division, and district levels to ensure that program achievements and challenges are adequately documented and highlighted. 

 

In collaboration with M&E teams, the Program Associate will assist in establishing processes to collect and analyze program data to monitor program progress, validate data, and identify areas for strengthening.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Monitor the overall program implementation to ensure adherence to the proposed project plan under the guidance of the State Head.

* Establish strong partnerships with other development partners to identify synergies for improving RMNCH service delivery in the district(s).

* Attend monthly district team reviews, analyze program indicators, and ensure adherence to the program plan. Support the district team in overcoming challenges as needed.

* Conduct field visits to facilities and communities to monitor the work of district staff members and provide mentoring to address any gaps.

* Build the capacity of Nurse Mentors and Front Line workers to monitor progress and ensure that all required documentation is completed.

* Assist in developing proposal documents in Hindi and English, policy analysis presentations, and draft relevant government orders in Hindi as required.

* Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

 

**Required Qualifications:**

 

* Medical / Para Medical graduate (AYUSH/BPT/BOT/BSc Nursing/BPharma) with a post-graduate degree in public health, Masters in Public Health, Health Administration, or Hospital Management.

* Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in the areas of Maternal & Child Health.

* Experience working with government and international organizations/bilateral agencies.

    * Experience in activity planning & monitoring processes for organizations.

    * Demonstrated cross-cultural, teamwork skills and the ability to foresee issues and initiate appropriate action.

    * Experience in strengthening the programmatic capacity of an organization, particularly in facility interventions and systems development.

* **Leadership and Management:**

    * Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

    * Experience in building relationships and working with multi-disciplinary state and division level teams, Government officials, and external partners.

* **Communication Skills:**

    * Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation, persuasive ability, and report writing in English and Hindi.

    * Ability to deliver complex messages to various audiences.

    * Proven ability to conceptualize, analyze, innovate, plan, and execute ideas.
