**About the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI)**

 

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to building a healthier India. PHFI addresses the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology, and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  Headquartered in New Delhi, PHFI has a national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research. Established in 2006 as a public-private initiative, PHFI is governed by an independent board comprising senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives, and corporate leaders.

 

**Project Overview:**

 

This project aims to strengthen PHFI’s capabilities in digital pedagogy, public health education, and educational research. The project will focus on developing innovative approaches and utilizing digital educational technologies to enhance the quality of public health education. It will also explore integrating digital learning with on-campus face-to-face pedagogy and blended learning approaches to enhance the quality of public health education within PHFI’s network of six IIPHs across six Indian states. The ultimate goal is to support educational institutions in rural parts of India in improving their public health education programs.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Support the design, implementation, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative research in health professions education under supervision.

* Assist in data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, and other methods, while ensuring compliance with ethical standards.

* Conduct literature searches to support ongoing research projects and help summarize findings.

* Provide administrative and logistical support for the research projects, including organizing meetings and maintaining project documentation.

* Assist in preparing drafts of reports, research articles, and presentations for internal and external audiences.

* Work closely with the project team.

* Travel as required.

* Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

 

**Qualifications:**

 

**Essential:**

 

* Master’s degree in Public Health, Social work, Social Sciences, or a related field.

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

 

**Desirable:**

 

* Around 2-3 years of work experience in public health.

* Experience with a statistical software.

* Prior involvement in research projects, internships, or relevant experience.

 

**Location:** IIPH-Bangalore

 

**Position Type:** Fixed Term Salaried

 

**Duration:** 08 months or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier

 

**Number of Positions:** 1
