PHFI tackles the critical issue of limited institutional and systems capacity in the country by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology, and facilitating policy and practice in the field of Public Health.  

 

Headquartered in New Delhi, PHFI has a national reach through its network of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research focusing on core public health themes. Established in 2006 as a public-private initiative, PHFI is governed by an independent board comprised of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives, and corporate leaders.

 

**Job Description**

 

This position is part of a project focused on scaling up public health professional education while improving quality. It involves developing innovative approaches and leveraging digital educational technologies to strengthen PHFI’s capacities in digital pedagogy, public health education, and educational research.

 

**Responsibilities**

 

* Handle the day-to-day implementation of all project activities, including technical, financial, and administrative aspects.

* Provide daily oversight to ensure capacity development activities and course content development align with project goals and timelines.

* Collaborate closely with the project team and teaching and learning team on pedagogical decisions, course material selection and design.

* Creatively integrate technologies into learning processes.

* Design focus areas and training for capacity-building workshops (face-to-face and online) for teachers and other staff.

* Ensure the developed content aligns with curricular goals and maintains academic quality.

* Identify bottlenecks, resolve problems, and guide the project team during implementation.

* Liaison with project team members at PHFI, project staff, and external experts/stakeholders for collaborations, meetings, and correspondence.

* Travel as required.

* Perform other tasks assigned by the PI/Project Director.

 

**Qualifications**

 

**Essential:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS)

 

**Desirable:**

 

* MD in Community Medicine or Preventive Social Medicine or PhD in Epidemiology, Social Sciences, Management studies with work experience in public health.

* Continued education in pedagogy with a focus on learning technologies.

 

**Experience**

 

**Essential:**

 

* Around 3-5 years of work experience after MBBS and/or 1-2 years post MD.

 

**Desirable:**

 

* Demonstrated track record in developing high-quality curricula and educational materials.

* Experience/interest in educational technologies, pedagogy, teaching and learning.

 

**Location**

 

Delhi/ NCR

 

**Duration**

 

1 year or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier
