**About Foundation for Economic Development (FED)**
Foundation for Economic Development (FED) is a Delhi-based non-profit organization dedicated to achieving sustained and broad-based economic growth of over 10% in India. FED believes that economic growth is the most effective tool to alleviate poverty and enhance the quality of life for all citizens.
The organization has a distinguished advisory board including Dr. Aravind Panagariya, Naushad Forbes, Gurcharan Das, Jerry Rao, and Ashish Dhawan, who provide strategic guidance and support.
**FED’s Work:**
* Focuses on key sectors with high potential for growth and job creation, including Export Led Labour Intensive Manufacturing, Tourism, and Construction.
* Works closely with policymakers to implement impactful reforms.
* Currently working with the Uttar Pradesh government on its Mission Trillion Dollar economy initiative, and collaborating with Telangana and Tamil Nadu governments on their economic growth agendas.
**Approach:**
FED’s approach involves three core areas:
* **Research and Strategy:** Thorough analysis of target sectors, stakeholder engagement, and benchmarking with international best practices.
* **Communication and Outreach:** Raising awareness about the potential of these sectors and the need for reforms through various media channels, including op-eds and social media.
* **Implementation Support:** Collaborating with state governments to implement specific actions that promote growth in identified sectors.
**Position Overview:**
This is a rotational role where you will contribute to the success of multiple workstreams at FED. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for driving change and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities:**
* Prepare structured documents and other materials (presentations, excel sheets, etc.) for internal and external use.
* Develop and manage project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and deliverables.
* Coordinate and engage with key stakeholders, including government officials and industry experts.
* Analyze data and information to identify trends and provide insightful recommendations.
* Create progress reports for internal and external reviews.
* Contribute to the development of communication and outreach materials.
* Support implementation initiatives in collaboration with state governments.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related field, required.
* 2-5 years of relevant experience in project management or a similar field.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in managing and working with large datasets.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Adaptability to ambiguous situations and a proactive learning mindset.
