**About India Climate Collaborative (ICC)**

 

The India Climate Collaborative (ICC) is a non-profit organization established in 2020 with a mission to support Indian philanthropists in scaling corporate and family philanthropy for climate impact. Founded by some of India’s most influential corporate and philanthropic leaders, including Rohini Nilekani, Ratan Tata, Anand Mahindra, Nadir Godrej, and others, ICC aims to unlock philanthropic capital, identify key climate priorities, and build a robust network to support its mission. The ICC achieves its goals through four key verticals: Earth Exponential, India Climate Leaders, Sectors Catalyst, and Pooled Funds.  In addition, a dedicated team supports operational, communication, and engagement functions. 

 

**Earth Exponential (EE)**

 

Earth Exponential is a flagship initiative of ICC that connects funders to impactful, scalable, and verified climate solutions implemented by non-profit organizations across India. The platform seeks to accelerate the flow of grant capital towards climate action in India, enhancing climate solution awareness within the domestic donor community. This initiative empowers private and corporate philanthropy (CSR) to engage more effectively with climate action. 

 

**Job Description**

 

The Senior Associate – Engagement will play a crucial role in achieving the ICC’s mission of mobilizing funding for climate action, particularly focusing on corporate philanthropy. This role will be the backbone of Earth Exponential’s donor engagement efforts. 

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Develop and implement innovative engagement strategies to encourage donors (initially CSR) to support solutions featured on Earth Exponential through outreach, newsletters, event programming, and other channels.

* Provide funders with bespoke support and advisory services on utilizing the EE platform and identifying solutions aligned with their priorities, including offering recommendations and facilitating introductions.

* Identify and cultivate a database of potential funders for targeted outreach for EE.

* Collaborate across teams to prepare briefing materials, pitch decks, and resources for funders at various levels of climate awareness.

* Gather feedback from funders and propose improvements for the platform.

* Identify and manage strategic partnerships with CSRs to increase grant capital for climate solutions.

* Track engagement with individual funders and both direct and indirect funding flows through the EE platform.

* Manage institutional donor(s) for Earth Exponential, including proposal writing and timely submission.

* Assist with supporting documentation such as budgets, monitoring & evaluation, and any additional materials required by donors.

* Track timelines and submission dates for interim and final grant reports.

* Collaborate with team members across various departments to gather necessary information.

* Input and manage relevant data in Salesforce to ensure ICC effectively tracks donor engagement.

* Create presentations and talking points for meetings.

* Draft memos, pre-reads, and meeting minutes.

* Work with the communications team to curate convenings, events, website content, and social media posts.

 

**Requirements:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree with 5-6 years of relevant work experience in a donor-facing role.

* Demonstrated interest and understanding of the Indian climate and non-profit sectors.

* Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).

* Strong interpersonal skills and experience managing external stakeholders.

* Ability to process information from multiple sources, compile, and articulate it effectively in a presentable manner.

* Meticulous attention to detail.

* Ability to think strategically and creatively, meet tight deadlines, and work independently.

* Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing deadlines.
