Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) (AKRSP(I)) is a programme of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a global network of agencies working in over 30 countries around the world. AKRSP(I) focuses on improving the quality of life for rural communities in India, particularly in the areas of agriculture, climate resilience, rural governance, and work and enterprise.

**Job Description:**

 

We are looking for a dynamic and research-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Executive for the Women-owned and managed Solar Irrigation Enterprises Project. 

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Identify and support Irrigation Service Providers (ISPs) to establish solar-based irrigation systems and promote an entrepreneurial model for irrigation services.

* Conduct capacity building initiatives for ISPs, helping them develop effective business plans.

* Deliver training programs on ongoing activities, agricultural technologies, and methodologies to farmers. 

* Build relationships with Agricultural Universities and related bodies like RAU, Pusa, NABARD, and Banks.

* Engage with key stakeholders, including Jeevika, the Agriculture Department, and the horticulture department at the Block and District level.

* Prepare evidence-based reports for internal and external stakeholders.

* Maintain a comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) for reporting at various levels. 

* Collect and track data related to solar-based irrigation systems, irrigated area, benefited farmers, and income generated by ISPs. 

* Ensure timely data collection and accurate MIS maintenance.

* Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports for the project area.

 

**Skills & Competencies:**

 

* Dynamic and research-oriented.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments.

* Knowledge of rural irrigation scenarios and energy management aspects.

* Proven experience in community mobilization.

* Experience in data collection, management, analysis, reporting, and documentation.

* Experience in social enterprise establishment is preferred.

* Proficiency in computer operations.
