**About the Schools Governance Team:**
The Schools Governance team at Central Square Foundation envisions a school education delivery system that is fundamentally accountable and transparent about its learning outcomes. The team focuses on measuring and publicizing the achievement of learning outcomes in public and private schools, and on establishing a State Schools Standards Authority to hold schools accountable for achieving these outcomes.
**Position Summary:**
Central Square Foundation is seeking a Project Manager, Assessments, based in Udaipur, Rajasthan. This role will focus on building the state’s SCERT’s capacity in developing high-quality competency-based census assessments (CCA). The work will involve strengthening their processes for creating questions, blueprints, and sample papers for primary and upper primary grade levels, and supporting the development of the state’s curriculum framework. The position requires effective coordination with other bodies within the state’s education department (the Directorate, the Board, etc.). This is a full-time role, reporting to the Project Lead of the state CSF team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct capacity-building workshops to ensure the smooth functioning and delivery of the Assessment Cell of Rajasthan’s SCERT.
* Establish project management processes and guidelines, ensuring all activities align with defined goals.
* Conduct relevant preliminary research as needed.
* Train relevant personnel on using basic technology and improve their question creation and review processes.
* Develop and/or curate technology for various program workstreams and facilitate their smooth rollout in coordination with relevant departments.
* Build and manage strong working relationships with government stakeholders at the state and district levels.
* Collaborate with expert teams at CSF on assigned workstreams to contextualize them for the state.
* Manage knowledge and document the implementation of work in the state.
**Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:**
* Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university; a Master’s degree in education, development studies, public policy, or social sciences is preferred.
* 1.5 to 4 years of work experience, preferably in the education sector, demonstrating knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, and/or content creation.
* Strong interest in the Development/Education sector.
* Fluency in English and Hindi with excellent reading and writing skills. Preference will be given to candidates who are also fluent in the local language.
* Experience in handling large data and analysis (using spreadsheets or SQL) is preferred.
* Past experience working with state and district-level governance and institutional structures is preferred.
* Proven experience in project management, large-scale program implementation with multiple delivery tracks, research, and monitoring.
* Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
