**Experience Required:** 

 

* Minimum 8 years of experience in marketing, with a minimum of 5 years in the marketing of various agricultural commodities.

 

**Job Summary:** 

 

AKRSP(I) supports over 40 Farmer Producers Companies (FPOs) with over 40,000 smallholder farmers as shareholders.  These FPOs work to link smallholder farmers with remunerative markets and develop value chains for various agricultural commodities like cotton, groundnut, pulses, millets, vegetables, cereals, and livestock. This role will involve leading the marketing of these commodities produced by the FPOs.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Develop and implement marketing strategies for the commodities available with the FPOs.

* Build the capacity of field teams on marketing aspects to ensure FPOs become economically vibrant farmer-owned institutions.

* Lead the market linkages for major commodities, focusing on bulk marketing of large volumes.

* Develop and manage relationships with relevant buyers, brands, and traders in the market.

* Negotiate terms and conditions for commodity marketing with prospective buyers.

* Develop MIS systems for monitoring daily sales of FPO businesses.

 

**Skills and Competencies:**

 

* Strong sales management skills

* Proven experience in marketing linkages, particularly for commodity marketing, specifically cotton, groundnut, pulses, millets, etc.

* Excellent team management skills

* Deep understanding of institution-building processes for farmers’ collectives

* Strong strategy building capabilities

* Excellent liaison and relationship building skills

* Exceptional communication and presentation skills

* Proven negotiation skills
