## Research Scientist (Rice Breeding)

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our Rice Breeding team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing new rice varieties with superior yield, quality, and resilience to climate change and other stresses.

**Responsibilities:**

* Conduct advanced research in rice breeding, including the development of new breeding methods and technologies.

* Develop and evaluate new rice varieties with improved traits such as yield potential, grain quality, disease resistance, and drought tolerance.

* Manage and analyze data from breeding experiments.

* Collaborate with other scientists and researchers to develop innovative breeding strategies.

* Disseminate research findings through publications, presentations, and other communication channels.

* Supervise and mentor junior researchers.

**Qualifications:**

* PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics, or a related field.

* At least 5 years of experience in rice breeding research.

* Strong understanding of breeding methodologies, including marker-assisted selection and genomic selection.

* Experience with data analysis and statistical software.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Strong commitment to international agricultural research for development.
