**Job Location:** Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, India

**Job Tenure:** Full-time employment contract up to July 2025, renewable based on project funding and need.

**Job Summary:**

The Aga Khan Foundation, India seeks a Cluster Coordinator to implement a rural drinking water supply program in Sitapur district, Uttar Pradesh.  The Coordinator will plan, implement, and ensure timely delivery of a high-quality program, coordinating with various stakeholders including the Water and Sanitation Block Level Committee, Block Development Officer, and ADO panchayats.  Responsibilities include community engagement, infrastructure development and maintenance, liaison with government officials, and project monitoring and reporting.

**Responsibilities:**

* Planning and implementing the program according to a detailed schedule.

* Conducting baseline mapping, village profiling, and resource assessments.

* Identifying and selecting project villages.

* Engaging communities through IEC campaigns and strengthening village-level institutions.

* Promoting community ownership through contributions in cash, kind, or labor.

* Ensuring the sustainability of water supply systems.

* Raising awareness about safe drinking water.

* Aligning project implementation with Jal Jeevan Mission objectives.

* Collaborating with government officials and other agencies.

* Participating in government meetings and workshops.

* Leveraging government funding opportunities.

* Supporting VWSC in financial management.

* Supporting commissioning and handover of water supply schemes.

* Implementing a technology-based monitoring system.

* Preparing reports and documenting best practices.

* Undertaking regular field visits and monitoring.

**Qualifications and Skills:**

* Post-graduate degree in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Rural Management, Rural Development, or a related field.

* Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in rural development.

* Experience working with community-based organizations and PRI institutions (preferred).

* Experience in water sanitation and hygiene, and implementation of rural water supply schemes (advantageous).

* Strong interpersonal communication, community mobilization, and stakeholder management skills.

* Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English (report writing in English required).

* Problem-solving skills and adaptability.

* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and database management).

* Willingness to travel extensively and work closely with rural communities.
