**Job Title:** Senior Research Associate

**Job Summary:**
PxD seeks a driven, creative, and independent Senior Research Associate to join its high-performing team. This role involves contributing substantially to PxD’s programs by testing and refining new ideas, rigorously measuring impact, and identifying scalable solutions to improve the incomes and well-being of people in poverty. The successful candidate will work closely with PxD and affiliated researchers.
**Responsibilities:**
* Collaborate with team leadership and colleagues in designing, piloting, and scaling evidence-backed digital agriculture services, including direct engagement with farmers in the field.
* Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection (focus groups, interviews, surveys) and data cleaning.
* Produce accurate data summaries, including basic descriptive statistics and simple regression analysis, and contribute to report writing.
* Conduct literature reviews and desk research, providing input on research questions and structure.
* Maintain up-to-date project documentation.
* Assist in managing partner relations and working with external stakeholders.
* Contribute to internal and external communications (briefs, blogs, reports, presentations) to disseminate project findings.
* Support PxD’s institutional knowledge management and internal learning initiatives.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in economics, public policy, international development, or a closely related field.
* Strong understanding of economics, econometrics, and familiarity with randomized evaluations.
* Excellent knowledge of Stata or R (or similar data analysis software).
* Experience conducting field research in economics in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
* Experience using SurveyCTO/ODK (or similar survey design software).
* Ability to draw inferences from data to identify pathways for program improvement.
* Experience in a multi-faceted role, balancing priorities across multiple projects and stakeholders.
* Strong written and oral communication skills in English; advanced writing and presentation skills.
* Fluency in Hindi; knowledge of other Indian languages is a plus.
* Experience working with government agencies.
* Willingness to travel to field sites in India.
