**Job Purpose:**

 

The Technical Specialist for Networking and Partner Communication will work with key partners and stakeholders to advance the Tobacco Control Division’s objectives in India. This role will facilitate coordination and collaboration between partners and stakeholders, serving as the Division’s representative in working groups and campaigns.  The Specialist will support the development of communication tools and share insights and materials with key stakeholders.

 

**Duties & Responsibilities:**

 

* **Networking & Partnerships:**  Work with key partners, including the National Tobacco Control Program (NTCP) at MoHFW, to identify and advance strategies. Facilitate coordination and collaboration between partners and stakeholders, serving as Vital Strategies’ representative in working groups and campaigns. Support outreach efforts to connect with tobacco control focal points in national institutes, educational institutions, and ministries.

* **Coordination and Communication:** Attend meetings and conferences, distributing findings and materials internally. Work with internal teams to share insights and materials with stakeholders (government agencies, UN agencies, WHO, NGOs, CSOs). Support the development of new communication tools and adapt existing resources. Facilitate communication and partnership sessions at national events/trainings. Support coordination and logistics of capacity building and training initiatives. Coordinate dissemination of research and evaluation activities.

 

 

**Education and Experience:**

 

* Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Health, or Public Policy. A Master’s degree is preferred.

* Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.

 

**Skills & Abilities:**

 

* Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders (government agencies, NGOs, international organizations, community groups).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to identify partnership opportunities and cultivate strategic alliances.

* Strong teamwork skills and experience coordinating across departments or organizations.

* Ability to navigate cultural and political sensitivities.

* Aptitude for identifying challenges, developing solutions, and implementing strategies.

 

 

**Salary:** INR 18,00,000 to INR 20,00,000 per annum.  Benefits include a strong retirement plan, flexible basket reimbursement, comprehensive healthcare, and paid leave.  This is a full-time position with a hybrid, 4-day-per-week office schedule in our New Delhi office.
