**Job Location:** Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

 

**Job Duration:** 9 months

 

**Job Summary:**

 

The State Program Officer will provide technical and operational support to the Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD) in Rajasthan for the implementation of a Nutri-Millet Bars Pilot program. This involves capacity building, program monitoring, quality assurance, and communication with beneficiaries to ensure program objectives are met.  The role focuses on improving nutrition in Rajasthan, particularly addressing malnutrition among young children and women through the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Assist DWCD in rolling out the Nutri-Millet Bars Pilot.

* Ensure program alignment with the ICDS framework and state nutrition goals.

* Facilitate coordination between DWCD, Anganwadi centers, and other stakeholders.

* Conduct training sessions for DWCD staff and Anganwadi workers on millet-based nutrition, safe handling, and distribution.

* Provide guidance on nutrition and food safety protocols.

* Support quality assurance and monitoring of distribution processes.

* Assist in creating standard operating procedures for storage, transportation, and distribution of millet-based products.

* Design and implement a monitoring system to track program progress and assess impact.

* Conduct field visits to evaluate implementation and identify gaps.

* Prepare progress reports and case studies.

* Build relationships with DWCD officials, Anganwadi workers, and local communities.

* Develop outreach materials to educate beneficiaries.

* Collaborate with DWCD to ensure effective communication.

 

 

**Qualifications and Experience:**

 

* BA/Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Food Technology, or a related field.

* Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.

* Prior experience working with ICDS, DWCD, or similar nutrition programs is highly desirable.

* Strong understanding of millet-based nutrition, supply chain management, and quality control systems.

* Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity for large teams.

* Proficiency in program monitoring, data analysis, and report writing.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* Ability to work collaboratively and manage priorities effectively.

* Willingness to travel extensively across Rajasthan.

* Fluency in Hindi and English; local language proficiency desirable.

 

 

**Requirements:**

 

* Must have legal authorization to work in India.
