**About the Position:**

 

This is a project-based position reporting to the State Lead.  The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

 

**Qualifications Required:**

 

* MBA in Agribusiness or related fields, or a Master’s degree in Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field from a reputed college (e.g., IIM, ISB, IIT, IIFM, IRMA, JNU, TISS, University of Hyderabad, Azim Premji University).

 

**Experience Required:**

 

* 12+ years of experience in government consulting or working with INGOs at the national/state apex level, ideally with embedded experience within a government setting.

* Experience leading teams on inter-departmental government projects (preferred).

* Experience facilitating periodic reviews for government departments (including preparing analytical presentations).

* Proven experience in planning, assessing, designing, and conducting quick secondary analyses of social protection policies and poverty alleviation/financial inclusion strategies.

* Demonstrated experience coordinating and partnering with key stakeholders (government departments, local organizations, academic institutions, and CSRs).

 

**Skills and Competencies:**

 

* Strong communication skills, including academic writing and large data visualization.  Preference given to candidates comfortable writing in both Hindi and English.

* Flexibility in working arrangements.

 

 

**About the Role:**

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

* Provide strategic support in coordinating with welfare departments, field functionaries, and implementation partners for seamless implementation of pro-poor social protection initiatives.

* Facilitate project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

* Support policymakers on poverty alleviation and financial inclusion strategies and bridging the digital divide.

* Track and monitor ultra-poor households’ social and economic progress using dashboards and field visits.

* Compile, update, and analyze program data to identify trends and insights, sharing these with stakeholders.

* Support government reviews of program effectiveness through analytical dashboards and presentations.

* Ensure adherence to project timelines, resources, and budgets.

* Prepare project reports and document project activities.

* Conduct field visits, documenting human-interest stories and best practices.

* Collaborate with project and state office staff for knowledge and information flow.

* Participate in organizational meetings/workshops and represent project status/outcomes.

* Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

 

**About the Project:**

 

PCI India provides technical assistance to the Government of Uttar Pradesh on a technology-driven initiative focused on poverty alleviation, social protection, financial inclusion, and livelihoods planning.  This role involves close collaboration with senior government leaders, multiple welfare departments, implementation partners, academia, and corporate entities to ensure sustainable poverty alleviation for ultra-poor households.
