The Rivers & Wetlands programme, a key part of the organization, focuses on the rejuvenation of rivers and wetlands across the country, working with government agencies, local stakeholders, and businesses. The team works on protecting iconic species like the Ganga river dolphin, gharial, and otters, across various geographical locations and levels of governance.
**Job Description:**
The Associate Coordinator will provide crucial support to the Rivers & Wetlands programme, contributing to programme management, development, monitoring, and evaluation. This role involves coordinating with various teams and stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation, timely delivery of outcomes, and achievement of technical and financial targets. Key responsibilities include:
* **Programme Management:** Providing management and coordination support to ensure effective project implementation and achievement of targets. Coordinating with different teams to foster collaboration.
* **Programme Development:** Leading the conceptualization and development of proposals and supporting fundraising efforts.
* **Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:** Coordinating and developing monitoring and evaluation plans; creating M&E resources and training team members; undertaking regular monitoring and evaluation using various tools and frameworks; analyzing data for adaptive management; preparing reports for WWF-India, donors, and partners; contributing to organizational-level M&E initiatives.
**Requirements:**
* Master’s degree in social science, development planning, statistics, management, or a related field.
* 5-8 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, and results-based management within the development sector.
* Strong understanding of the development sector; prior experience in environment/conservation (especially freshwater resources) is highly desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
* Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple stakeholders, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and database management).
* Excellent writing and analytical skills for drafting concept notes and reports.
