**Job Summary:**
Wadhwani AI seeks a highly motivated and experienced Instructional Design Specialist to join its Capacity Building team in New Delhi. This role involves creating innovative training programs that empower individuals and organizations to leverage AI for social impact. Responsibilities span course creation, stakeholder engagement, needs assessments, and documentation.
**Roles and Responsibilities:**
* Design and develop engaging learning modules on artificial intelligence for diverse audiences (students, teachers, policymakers, farmers, government officials).
* Create instructional materials in various formats (e-learning, videos, manuals, workshops).
* Employ instructional design principles to maximize learner engagement, knowledge retention, and practical application.
* Ensure high-quality, grammatically sound learning content.
* Conduct needs assessments to tailor content to specific audience requirements.
* Collaborate with AI experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
* Develop quizzes, polls, and other assessment tools to gauge learning outcomes and gather feedback.
* Create comprehensive project reports detailing methodology, proceedings, challenges, and successes.
* Stay current on trends in AI, instructional design, and educational technology.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, or a related field. Knowledge of AI is a plus.
* 5+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably with experience in capacity building and developing content for diverse learners. Strong knowledge of adolescent and adult learning principles is essential.
* Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), MS Excel, PowerPoint, and multimedia production tools.
* Strong foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible learning materials.
* Strong design skills, including the ability to independently design multimedia output for SCORM (presentations, videos, study guides, interactive assessments).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical content for non-technical audiences.
* Experience managing program delivery end-to-end, working with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
