**Job Title:** Communications Analyst (SB4) – (Two Positions)

The UN Women India Country Office, based in New Delhi, works to accelerate the advancement of gender equality and women’s empowerment through strategic partnerships, technical and policy advisory services, and advocacy. It also leads and coordinates the UN system’s work on gender equality.
**Job Description:**
Reporting to the Lead Communications with matrix reporting to the Head of Partnership and Communications Unit, the Communications Analyst will support the formulation and implementation of communications and advocacy strategies to increase UN Women’s visibility. Key responsibilities include:
* **Strategic Administrative Support:** Collecting background information, providing logistical support for advocacy initiatives (roundtables, press conferences, public events), contributing to briefing materials and press releases.
* **Advocacy Materials Development:** Identifying compelling storylines, drafting advocacy content (press releases, articles, key messages), overseeing translation, and managing a digital library of communication assets.
* **Digital and Social Media Management:** Creating content for the website and social media, managing content scheduling, and maintaining digital archives.
* **Media Relations:** Maintaining a media contact database, responding to media inquiries, and preparing speaking points.
* **Knowledge Management:** Identifying and sharing best practices, delivering training sessions on strategic communication.
* **Special Projects:** Contributing to the planning and execution of special projects related to web, digital, and media initiatives.
**Experience Required:**
* Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in external communications and advocacy strategy implementation, preferably in complex organizational environments. Experience with a reputed national or international PR firm is highly advantageous.
* Proven expertise in leveraging social media and digital communication to drive engagement and visibility.
* Strong proficiency in office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.) and handling web-based management systems.
**Education:**
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in communications, public relations, journalism, or a relevant field. A first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
**Technical Skills:**
Advanced digital communication skills, familiarity with modern IT tools (including PPT, Excel, Canva, video editing, basic photography, AI applications, and social media platforms), and data management tools.
**Language Requirements:**
Fluency in English and Hindi is essential. Knowledge of another Indian language is desirable.
**Contract Duration:** One year (renewable subject to availability of funds)
