**About the Role:**

 

The Associate – MLE will support the State Manager-MLE in the successful rollout of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities for the India Safe Water Now program in Andhra Pradesh.  This role requires significant experience in M&E and a strong interest in WASH or the health sector.  Responsibilities include assisting in data collection planning and implementation, contributing to data analysis, supporting project delivery within timelines, and collaborating with colleagues and external partners.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Assisting the MLE team in implementing, tracking, and monitoring all India Safe Water program M&E activities.

* Supporting the development of MLE training plans and delivering training to various stakeholders.

* Coordinating, managing, and monitoring surveys conducted by external agencies and EA staff.

* Coordinating data collection, validation, and quality assurance.

* Assisting in contract tracking and ensuring timely deliverables from survey agencies.

* Preparing and analyzing data for the India Safe Water program, sharing reports with relevant teams.

* Assisting with data-related reporting, documenting program activities and best practices.

* Ensuring data quality assurance procedures are followed.

* Documenting lessons learned and best practices.

* Coordinating the preparation of reports for internal and external use.

* Identifying gaps in reporting and monitoring.

* Coordinating with government officials to obtain updated databases and reports.

* Supporting the development of the state’s MLE plan.

 

 

**Requirements:**

 

**Essential:**

 

* Postgraduate degree in statistics, econometrics, economics, computer applications, or a related field.

* 3+ years of experience in M&E, preferably in a reputable academic, research, or survey organization.

* Experience developing and managing dashboards and online applications through professional agencies in the health and development sector.

* Experience with CAPI-based surveys, with experience developing CAPI tools preferred.

* Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Excel proficiency.

* Fluency in written and spoken English and Telugu.

* Demonstrated ability to ensure high-quality data processes and manage multiple tasks.

* Strong project management skills and adherence to deadlines.

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in diverse teams.

* Ability to communicate effectively with people at all organizational levels.

* Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.

 

**Desirable:**

 

* Experience in reputable survey-based research organizations.

* Experience managing primary data collection in a research-based supervisory role.

* Experience in the development/management and quality assurance of online data collection tools (e.g., SurveyCTO, ODK, KoboCollect).

* Knowledge of Stata/SPSS and/or programming experience.

* Knowledge of the WASH sector and experience working with government data/systems.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective partnerships.

* Strong communication skills (oral and written).
