**Job Description:**

This role provides technical assistance and programmatic support to the Nutrition and Adolescent Health wing of a Government of Gujarat and World Bank project (SRESTHA Gujarat Project).  The Senior Consultant will be responsible for facilitating project implementation, achieving defined objectives, and ensuring compliance with social safeguard policies and ESSA core principles.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide technical assistance and programmatic support to the Nutrition and Adolescent Health wing.

* Facilitate workshops, meetings, and seminars with stakeholders.

* Conduct periodic field visits to review program implementation, identify challenges, and develop solutions.

* Support systematic data collection, documentation, and presentation.

* Coordinate with various stakeholders, including the World Bank, DoHFW, WCD, Finance department, and other PMU wings.

* Address access, inclusion, equity, and social issues within the SRESTHA-G program.

* Develop strategies, guidelines, and oversee implementation of social safeguard activities (Citizen Engagement, Gender aspects).

* Provide operational support on social risk management, including field visits and risk mitigation planning.

* Support capacity building and address the needs of vulnerable populations.

* Promote gender equality and stakeholder engagement.

* Implement and monitor action plans identified in ESSA.

* Undertake operational research on social safeguard/equity/inclusion/accountability areas.

* Ensure timely data recording, report preparation, and information dissemination.

* Facilitate tasks related to inspections and visits by various teams.

**Experience Required:**

* 9 years of experience in public health, preferably implementing adolescent and nutrition programs.

* Experience working with National/State Government.

* Excellent official and technical drafting skills.

* Knowledge of the Indian health system (Gujarat experience preferred).

* Experience in social safeguard implementation and ESSA compliance is highly desirable.

**Education/Qualifications:**

* MBBS + MPH/PGDHM/MHA from a recognized university with medical council registration.

**Field Work:** The position requires 10-15 days of field visits per month.
