ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY – SENIOR MANAGER- MONITORING & EVALUATION (M&E)

Medha’s Alumni Team was set up in its early years with a vision to keep track of the long-term impact it creates through the core skilling programs. The department started taking shape in 2017 when additional need-based offerings were designed to continuously engage alumni and support their career growth. With our alumni base growing manifold, every year, new challenges emerge regarding database management, capturing real-time updates and closing queries in time.

The Senior Manager- M&E, will play a key role in putting systems & processes in place to manage the growing alumni database and create measurement tools to capture the impact of all our existing alumni engagement programs. The candidate will also monitor the development of our technology solution, an android app-Medhavi to capture real time data and encourage peer to peer connectivity.

What you will do:

Strategy & Planning:  

As a part of senior management, p rovide your expertise and knowledge in M&E to streamline alumni programs and develop performance/impact indicators that fulfil the overall objectives of  the department. Design/develop the next phases of the Medhavi App based on emerging needs and user feedback.

Monitoring & Evaluation:  

Track and update M&E data of all relevant programs as well as our direct beneficiaries (Medha alumni) by implementing monitoring systems and designing monitoring tools. This would require you to work with data platforms, databases and select technologies to capture and organize alumni data.

Analysis & Reporting:  

Determine data analysis procedures and use of quantitative or qualitative analysis tools. Summarize findings and develop monthly, quarterly or annual reports depending on project requirements as well as disseminate results to donors and other stakeholders.

Knowledge Management:  

Contribute to institutional learning processes and build a culture of data-driven decision-making. Track and provide adaptable best practices in monitoring and evaluation.

Team management & performance review:  

​Handle a team of managers and associates with diverse needs and skillsets, working for the deployment of Medhavi app and handling alumni queries. Provide growth opportunities for your team and build a culture of peer learning.

What your day might look like:

While no two days are the same, some may look like this:

• You are reviewing an M&E framework for our women-centric project: Simmer prepared by the Program Lead.
• You have a Quarterly Catch-up call with one of your funders.
• You provide your feedback on the development & user experience of Medhavi App.
• You have prepared a monthly dashboard to capture the current career status of our alumni.
• You are conducting a training session for the team to learn new M&E and data collection tools.
