**Job Profile:**
The Programme Specialist – Agriculture will be responsible for:
– Liaising with donors and government departments.
– Providing support to the team in executing agriculture projects.
– Conducting training and capacity-building sessions for field staff, village leaders, and representatives of GO-NGOs.
– Preparing programme manuals, training manuals, and strategies.
– Monitoring and assessing programme effectiveness.
– Documenting case studies and preparing programme proposals.
– Promoting sustainable agricultural practices, productivity enhancement, and crop diversification.
– Building market linkages to maximise the impact of agriculture-based production.
– Planning and managing budgets for programme implementation.
– Engaging with local stakeholders such as agriculture universities, KVKs, NGOs, and technical organisations.
– Reporting to donors in English, supported by field data and photographs.
**Skills & Competencies:**
– Strong knowledge of agriculture.
– Proficiency in Hindi and English.
– Proficiency in MS Office tools.
– Excellent organisational and managerial skills for field activities.
– Familiarity with newer technologies and sustainable agricultural techniques (e.g., System of Crop Intensification, Conservation Agriculture, IPM, INM).
