**Job Title:** Project Lead – Early Childhood Education (ECE)

It is dedicated to ensuring quality school education for all children in India, with a focus on improving learning outcomes, particularly in low-income communities. CSF operates on the vision of transforming the school education system and has been actively involved in implementing the National Education Policy 2020, especially in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

 

**Position Overview:**  

The Project Lead – ECE will play a pivotal role in supporting the government of Uttar Pradesh in achieving its mission to enhance early childhood education (ECE) across the state. This position involves leading and managing projects related to curriculum development, teacher training, school identification, and data systems governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public sector consulting, program management, and stakeholder engagement.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**  

– Direct and indirect engagement with senior bureaucratic, education, and political leadership to ensure alignment with ECE mission goals.  

– Leading and guiding a team of 2-3 project personnel, managing their work, and ensuring high performance.  

– Supporting capacity-building activities such as workshops and training modules for stakeholders.  

– Monitoring and reporting program progress to key stakeholders.  

– Capturing learning outcomes and best practices to serve as a playbook for ECE in India.  

 

**Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:**  

– **Experience:** 6-10 years of demonstrated leadership in public sector consulting or program management, particularly in State-Level PMUs with measurable outcomes in education or development programs.  

– **Stakeholder Management:** Proven ability to collaborate with Project Directors, academics, consultants, and NGOs to drive policy implementation and systemic change.  

– **Government Project Management:** Success in translating technical insights into actionable programs, building consensus among stakeholders, and influencing policy decisions at the state level.  

– **Communication Skills:** Exceptional bilingual communication (English and Hindi) across written, verbal, and presentation formats.  

– **Team Leadership:** Experience in building and leading high-performing teams of 3-5 members, with a track record in goal-setting, delegation, and team development through coaching.  

– **Entrepreneurial Agility:** Ability to thrive in dynamic, resource-constrained environments requiring frequent travel and innovation.
