**About the Role:**
The Senior IT Assistant will support the Information Security and Risk Management (ITSSR) unit within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidency. This role involves developing AI applications, automation playbooks, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure to enhance security operations. The successful candidate will work on threat management solutions, integrate AI/ML models, and ensure compliance with regulations.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities:**
– Implement threat management solutions using a data-driven and Agile approach.
– Develop tools and methodologies to strengthen security operations.
– Build applications and APIs using Python, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, and Dataverse.
– Design and manage Azure cloud infrastructure for scalable applications.
– Integrate AI/ML models using OpenAI and other frameworks.
– Implement RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with third-party services.
– Manage SQL and NoSQL databases, focusing on data integrity and security.
– Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation.
– Stay updated with cloud technologies, AI, and software development trends.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
– Experience with large datasets, SIEM, EDR, Python, PowerShell, Splunk’s SPL, and Kusto Query Language (KQL).
– Proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, including Azure WebApp, OpenAI, APIM, SQL Database, and Blob Storage.
– Familiarity with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps.
– Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React/Angular).
– Experience designing and managing databases, RESTful APIs, and integrating third-party services.
– Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security best practices.
– Agile environment experience and ability to work under pressure.
**Preferred Skills:**
– GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH).
– Knowledge of emerging technologies and compliance with industry standards.
