**Job Description: Research Associate – Boosting Immunization Demand**

**About the Organization:**
The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a global research center dedicated to reducing poverty through evidence-based policy research. J-PAL South Asia, based at IFMR in India, conducts randomized evaluations and works with partners to implement effective policies.
**Position Overview:**
We seek a Research Associate to lead impact evaluations focused on boosting immunization demand in India. This role involves managing field operations for a project testing a new model for identifying local ambassadors to disseminate information about routine immunizations across 450 villages.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Design survey questionnaires and refine study instruments.
– Manage and supervise field teams, including recruitment, training, and supervision.
– Oversee data collection and ensure compliance with IRB protocols.
– Coordinate with administrative and finance teams for logistics and payments.
– Maintain relationships with partner organizations.
– Assist with data cleaning, preliminary analysis, and donor reporting.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, social sciences, public policy, or related fields.
– Experience in development research preferred.
– Strong management, organizational, and quantitative skills.
– Fluency in English; conversational proficiency in Hindi or Marathi is a plus.
– Familiarity with Stata or other data analysis software is advantageous.
– Knowledge of randomized controlled trials is beneficial.
**Additional Requirements:**
Candidates must have work authorization to work in India.
