**Job Description**
**Position:** Research Associate – Boosting Immunization Demand
**Location:** Pune, Maharashtra, India
**Start Date:** 15 May 2025 to 15 June 2025
**Duration:** 9 months
**About the Company:**
The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a global research center dedicated to reducing poverty through evidence-based policy. J-PAL South Asia, based at the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), leads J-PAL’s initiatives in the region by conducting randomized evaluations and collaborating with partners to inform policies.
**Experience Required:**
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, social sciences, public policy, education, or a related field.
– Experience working in development research is preferred.
– Fluency in English; conversational skills in Hindi or Marathi are advantageous.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Design survey questionnaires and refine study instruments.
2. Manage and supervise field teams for data collection.
3. Ensure compliance with IRB protocols and maintain project security standards.
4. Coordinate with partner organizations and support data analysis.
5. Prepare reports and presentations for donor communication.
**Desired Qualifications:**
– Strong quantitative skills, with knowledge of Stata preferred.
– Familiarity with randomized controlled trials is advantageous.
– Excellent organizational and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently in rural settings and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
