**Job Description: Consultant – Field Project Assistant**
**Location:** West Garo Hills, Meghalaya

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is dedicated to enhancing public health in India through education, research, and policy development. PHFI operates nationally via its regional institutes, including the Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong (IIPHS), which focuses on addressing public health challenges in Meghalaya.
**Qualifications:**
– **Essential:** Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
– **Desirable:** Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or an allied field.
**Experience:**
– Minimum of 2 years in community mobilization or primary healthcare programs.
– Familiarity with local health institutions and Village Health Councils is advantageous.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Provide logistical support during facility surveys and consultations.
2. Liaise with Block Program Managers, ANMs, CHOs, and community members to ensure participation in meetings.
3. Prepare field materials such as checklists and tools for surveys.
4. Organize training sessions, including logistics and venue setup.
5. Support local translation needs during sessions.
6. Coordinate logistics for facility assessments and district training sessions.
7. Maintain records of assessment scores, gaps, and improvement actions.
8. Troubleshoot challenges faced by PHC or HWC teams during module rollouts.
9. Document field activities, challenges, and good practices for reporting.
10. Conduct field sessions, including demonstrations and community meetings.
