About IHAT:
India Health Action Trust (IHAT) aims at improving public health initiatives by supporting programs nationally and globally through providing comprehensive technical assistance in program planning, management and monitoring. Pursuant to the Memorandum of Cooperation between the GoUP and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, IHAT set up a Technical Support Unit (TSU) in 2013 to provide techno-managerial support to the Government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP) to improve utilization, coverage and quality of key reproductive, maternal, new-born, child health and nutrition (RMNCHN) interventions and services in the state. The TSU has been set up from the funding support of Bill & Melinda Gate Foundation (BMGF) through the University of Manitoba (UOM), Canada.
About Program:
The Uttar Pradesh Technical Support Unit (UPTSU) provides integrated Technical Assistance (TA) to the government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP), which focuses on accelerating progress in reproductive, maternal, new-born and child health, and nutrition (RMNCHN). UPTSU works closely with the GoUP at the state, district and local levels to optimize RMNCHN programs and services. The technical assistance provided by UPTSU is integrated within the GoUP’s health system response for scale-up and sustainability. UPTSU focuses on interventions to improve outcomes in Family Planning, Maternal and New-born Health, and Nutrition, along with Routine Immunization, Digital Health, and other initiatives.

Job Summary :
The role of Program Associate requires support in development of digital SBCC strategy, demonstration, and experimental Director to Customer (D2C) campaigning, implementation of strategy/plan and media analysis, and of effective campaign planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Deliverables expected from the Job Role
• Developing SBCC strategy and campaigning for effective implementation of SBCC activities approved for Uttar Pradesh
• Plan, develop and guide the implementation of the Digital strategy for SBCC
• Design the campaign flows and execute the campaigns on the D2C digital platform
• Support in the development of communication campaigning through the D2C platform
• Support in media analysis and developing an effective media plan
• Provide support in development of BCC tools/materials of RMNCH-A and nutrition
• Provide support in analyzing campaign effectiveness reports
Key Inputs expected from the Job Role
• Review, analyze and design SBCC/digital SBCC strategies
• Design demo and experimental D2C campaigns on RMNCHA+Nutrition
• Media Analysis and effective media planning
• High-quality documentation- technical and communication writing
Miscellaneous
• Support other team members as and when required
• Support in developing content for quarterly newsletter-PAHAL
Work Experience:
Essential experience
• Have at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementation of Social Behaviour Change Communication campaigning/activities in the development sector
• Have 2-3 years of experience in digital campaigns preferably using D2C platforms
• Experience in running Digital media activities
• Experience in qualitative data analysis, report writing and documentation
• Experience in understanding and using digital solutions for behaviour change communication
• Communicating with the functional teams and manage the relationship with technology vendor
Preferred experience
• Experience of working in Direct-to-Consumer domain in public health will be preferred
• Experience of designing and running campaigns digitally
• Experience of measuring the effectiveness of the campaigns
• Analyzing the data and generating reports
• Experience of using new age digital communication channels like WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram
Education:
Required Qualification
• Master’s in social sciences/ Mass communication or equivalent qualification. Degree/P. G Diploma in Mass Communication
Preferred Qualification
• Certificate course in any digital media/Direct to Consumer digital communication platform
