Reports to: Deputy Manager – Communications
Job Overview:
This position is a part of the communications team responsible for planning and implementing all communication activities on our social media channels including creating and writing engaging content across our five focus areas of Education, Health, Income, Environment, Public Safety. On a daily basis, you would be responsible for building strong an online community of our stakeholders of our various programs by developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between them and UWM. You would also be required to
collect and review social media data to develop more effective campaigns.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and engaging social media ensuring communication meets organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the organization appropriately
- Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels. Respond to social media posts and developing discussions on relevant topics.
- Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools and monitor, track, analyze and report on performance.
- Create engaging multimedia content by collaborating with other members of the communications team as well as the project teams.
- Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects to develop, launch and manage campaigns that promote our work and brand and highlights the problems, challenges, our interventions, and the collective impact created.
- Undertake audience research and analyze competitor activity.
- Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
Profile Requisites:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Proven expertise with a strong portfolio of work in social media marketing with experience of working as a social media manager or a similar role for at least 2 years.
- Strategic thinking for developing effective marketing campaigns, exceptional creativity and innovative communication skills and eye for detail.
- Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.
- Strong writing skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to study and interpret marketing analytics.
- Adept at community building and keeping calm under high-pressure online interactions.
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Remuneration: Subject to relevant qualification, experience & merit; the salary range is INR 5.2 – 9.75 LPA
