About DISHA project: The agenda of having equality in society by motivating women and making them realize their potential with dignity and further uplifting the condition of the excluded and tribal communities.

The strategy is to develop 6000 active women within the next five years by transforming them into change-makers through socio-political and digital empowerment by making systematic investments to enhance their participation surrounding aam sabha, social institutions, and productivity, as also create and sustain a model of rural women. It will empower women to take up a strategic position in the society and decision-making institution/ bodies as well as empower them as advocates for human rights and gender-based development issues within their communities across TSF’s operational area.

Key Deliverables

The Resource Person will be engaged on an assignment basis for providing the following services to Tata Steel Foundation’ across locations in Jharkhand and Odisha:

  • Conducting Training & workshops.
  • Preparation of Standard Operational Procedures, Training Modules, Manuals, resource materials, and IEC Materials.
  • Documentation of best practices, case studies, success stories, and process documentation.
  • Conducting Assessments/studies/Process monitoring/MIS.
  • Selection of community cadre or trainers
  • Setting up of systems and procedures of Gender & Community Enterprises.
  • Staff induction/ orientation/training.
  • Development of Model Panchayat/VO/CLFs and Resource centers.
  • Support in initiating Institution building, financial inclusion, livelihoods, FHNW, Social Inclusion, Gender, and Convergence interventions.
  • S/He should be willing to travel extensively to our operational areas in Jharkhand, Odisha and other locations as and when required.
  • Any other responsibilities requested by TSF.
  • The engagement may vary from 1-20 days per month (excluding travel days).

Skills Required:

  • S/He should have more than 3 years of working experience in Gender and related issues.
  • S/He should be sensitive to the women’s issues, as they will be working with women in socially backward areas.
  • S/He should have strong Community Mobilization, Training, and Communication skills.
  • S/He should be well versed in reading, writing, and delivering the sessions in Hindi / English and the local language (Odia/Bengali) as per the requirements of the programme.
  • S/He should have good reporting and documentation skills with a profound understanding of data usage and analytics.
