Job Opportunity for Placement Coordinator at IPE Global in Udaipur

Manzil, a 5-year project that aims to increase retention of girls in school (12 years of schooling) and rate of girls transitioning from school and skills training to work. The project will adopt a focused and market driven approach for vocational training and skill development of in- school and out of school adolescent girls in the age group of 15-21 years. The project will work with Government of Rajasthan across 6 districts.

The position will lead Project Manzil’s job placement for young girls with industries and private sector in the districts of Udaipur and Dungarpur. The post holder will work closely with district teams, community motivators, vocational teachers, the private sector representatives, and report to the State Manager to enable a healthy bridge of communication and opportunities for target group. Specific roles and responsibilities of the post holder are as listed below:

• Interfacing with private sector companies for jobs for young girls

• Work closely with Training Providers to ensure that they offer training opportunities that fit with the employer’s demand and girls’ aspirations

• Design an action plan for job placement with clear objectives and targets for each project district

• Map the potential private and semi-private companies in and around the target districts (Dungarpur and Udaipur)

• Liaison with the mapped companies and Training Providers to explore opportunities to place girls

• Stay up to date with market demand and ensure supply accordingly with regard to aspiration and decent employment for target group

• Identify business houses who are willing to partner with Manzil and sign MOU to offer internship and job opportunities to girls who are trained as part of the project.

• Establish partnerships with business houses who are willing to provide skill training and jobs to girls who are mobilized as part of the project.

• Job placement of girls in both districts as per target set.

Qualification & Experience

• Masters degree in a related field from a reputed institution

• 5-8 years of work experience

• Preferably experienced in leading placement for skill and entrepreneurship related projects
