About EduMentum

EduMentum is an incubator for early-stage education entrepreneurs. It is a Shibulal family philanthropic initiative in partnership with Mantra4Change and ShikshaLokam. Our objective is to identify and support young organizations working in the field of systemic education transformation. Our total partner ecosystem is 42 organizations strong, spread across 20 states.
Our belief is that in order to solve the perennial problem of Education inequity in the country, we need to strengthen the civil society actors and build their capabilities to work with the system at scale.

Job/Position Summary

If impact communication, research documentation and creativity is your strong suit, this role is for you to explore.We are looking for a passionate storyteller to join our team as  Communications and Research lead. In this role, you will strategically design and implement brand evangelisation along with your team at EduMentum. This role involves developing brand strategy, creative visualization, team management and periodic brand evaluation. It also involves research around incubation support to early stage entrepreneurs in Education and understanding the space of social sector organizations in India at large.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Communications Support 

  • Lead the thinking and execution of developing EduMentum as a brand and amplifying the education leadership mission
  • Developing and improving annual/quarterly fundraising communication strategy for EduMentum
  • Creating digital and program communications strategy forEduMentum
  • Identifying opportunities for brand building and visibility – online and offline 
  • Develop and disseminate creative, compelling and cause-specific content for EduMentum’s fundraising and branding efforts through various platforms
  • Strategizing and supporting fundraising Team to develop thematic and compelling proposals
  • Support and lead the in-house communication team to thrive as impact communicators in social space.
  • Identifying events and forums for EduMentum to participate in and advocate for the cause of enabling education leadership.
  • Strategic and periodic media outreach

2.  Research Support 

  • Research and develop tools to identify the needs of program
  • Capture case studies of the impact journey of EduMentum and of our partner organizations
  • Participate in meetings, workshops or related forums/events that may contribute to development and growth of EduMentum
  • Identify and forge new external partnerships with organizations /people aimed at learning from existing resources.
  • Aid in evaluating the EduMentum program based on data and generate insights in the form of reports
  • Create learning environments and build capacity within the team through shared learning, unconditional support and strong self and peer accountability. 

Requirements: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably – Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, etc.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in creative and communication roles, preferably – Branding, Fundraising or Culture 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to visualize content creatively
  • Ability to influence partnerships and connects
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • In-depth knowledge of design tools such a Canva, G-Suite, Adobe Suite (not compulsory but good to have)
  • Ability to do basic/intermediate data analysis in excel efficiently
  • Ability to identify potential data/information sources
  • Ability to deliver impactful reports and presentations

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Time commitment: At least 3 years

Compensation range: Commensurate with the individual’s experience and qualifications. Range 6 –  8 LPA (This may vary slightly depending on experience and qualifications)
