Job description:
Development Alternatives Group has been promoting ‘inclusive entrepreneurship’ a phenomenon that is characterized by systemic change that enables under-represented groups such as youth and women to access entrepreneurship opportunities, thereby leading to social inclusion, quality employment, and sustainable economic growth. In the pursuit of the above, our programs leverage social innovation tools to unleash entrepreneurial energies in women & youth and build positive ecosystems. Our approaches in flagship projects such as Work4Progress have been recognised as best practices by the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank for entrepreneurship led job creation. It has also been featured as a UN SDG good practice. In order to understand such deep and systemic changes, we have developed a learning system that is based on the principles and techniques of dialogue, analysis and reflection. The learning system in essence is geared to reiterate social innovation and ground-up action for enterprise development and job creation in rural India.
We are looking for a professional who will be able to convert the learning and insights into effective communication content for dissemination of knowledge and positioning.
Key responsibilities for the candidate are listed below:
Communications & Knowledge:
- Influencing knowledge through effective communications with the help of articles, case studies, reports, workshops, and webinars on entrepreneurship at the grassroots.
- Develop strategy and content for social media driven by analytical insights.
- Developing knowledge in the form of toolkits, brochures among others.
- Streamlining tone and messaging across communication products such as newsletters, brochures, videos, and other relevant publications.
Positioning:
- Support collaborative initiatives with partners and potential leads to position our work on Inclusive Entrepreneurship.
- Strategising content to showcase developments in Inclusive Entrepreneurship particularly on LinkedIn
- Implementation of digital communication and advocacy efforts, across social media and news platforms
DESIRABLE QUALITIES:
- Canva, Photoshop, etc.
- Digital marketing, SEO analytics
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ready to travel in rural India for at least 7-9 days a month
- Experience in developing social media content
