Job Opportunity for Associate – Communications at Antarang Foundation in Mumbai

The role:

As a young not-for-profit it is essential for Antarang to be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with its wide range of stakeholders. These communications take place through various communication channels and we are looking for an associate who can help us in this process.
The Communications – Associate will be responsible for implementing the annual communications plan and would play a key role in advancing our work with the youth. The position reports directly to the Founder-Director.

Roles and responsibilities

● Build a coherent Antarang Brand through a well-defined multi-pronged communications strategy with clear outcomes for every stakeholder
● Review, Update and Implement the communication strategy for the year.
● Create and post regular social media content as per strategy
● Work with external agencies to implement Antarang’s media strategy.
● Regular blog updates on activities of Antarang Foundation and on developments in the employability space in the larger context
● Compile and disseminate Antarang’s monthly newsletter
● Handle all the incoming communications through social media platforms
● Regularly update and maintain Antarang’s website
● Coordinate with the design & other teams for ad hoc communication
● Connect with alumni, students, and all other stakeholders and ensure strategic visibility in all communications

Profile Requisites:

● Any Graduate (in communications, media, journalism, marketing will be preferred)
● Excellent communication (written and oral): Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory
● Basic design skills
● Previous experience of customer/client contact especially establishing and developing effective links with companies in the relevant disciplines/fields
● Proficiency in MS Office and productivity tools
● Passionate about working in and working for low income communities and with young adults
● Good aesthetic sense, technologically savvy and a friendly, collaborative nature
● Flexibility to work outside office hours when required
