Internships at Carnegie India
Carnegie India offers three- to twelve-month internships to support the center’s scholars and programs. Interns are an integral part of Carnegie’s growing global network, which includes offices in Beijing, Beirut, Brussels, Moscow, New Delhi, and Washington.
Interns are provided a stipend. Carnegie India is not able to provide information on possible external sources of funding or provide assistance for visa-related matters. Applicants are advised to check with their academic institutions for information about available sources of internship funding.
General Requirements
Candidates must:
- Be a recent graduate
- Have an excellent verbal and written command of English

Housing, costs of living, travel costs, and medical insurance connected with the internship program must be borne by interns or by other institutions or organizations. Interns are responsible for arranging their own travel to New Delhi and accommodation.

Program and Research Intern – Technology and Society
Carnegie India is seeking 1-2 program and research interns, with a background in public policy or law to work for a period of six months.
Interns may be assigned administrative, editorial, research, writing, or organizational tasks to provide overall support to Carnegie India’s Technology and Society program.
Interns will also assist scholars on ongoing projects, background research, and events.
Responsibilities may include research assistance on issues relating to cryptocurrency, space policy, data governance, encryption, digital privacy, FinTech, and semiconductor supply chains.
Ideal candidates must have:
* Excellent research and writing skills.
* Strong interest in technology policy and law.
* The ability to be an enthusiastic and creative team player while working both independently and collaboratively.
In view of the pandemic, at present, the internship will be virtual.
