Name of Fellowship: Sports for Transformation Fellowship
Designation: Sports for Transformation Fellow
Eligibility:
· We are looking for youth between the ages of 20-26, who have passion and commitment towards our movement that places every child’s right to play and learn at the heart of what we do.
· In order to be eligible for the fellowship, you must be an Indian citizen, and must have graduated with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree by June/July 2024.
· Our cohort will be diverse. Youth from varied social and academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Applicants with demonstrated experience in leadership roles in sports development, coaching and/or have participated in district or state level sports will be preferred but it is not mandatory.
Work Location: Kapadwanj, Gujarat
Role & Responsibilities:
· Engaging directly with communities to implement grassroots sports initiatives, fostering a love for sports and physical activity among children and youth.
· Organizing and participating in sports events and activities, ensuring their accessibility and inclusivity.
· Participating in intensive training programs, workshops, and bootcamps to enhance skills in sports management, leadership, and community engagement.
· Conducting field research and community projects to understand the impact of sports in societal transformation.
· Collaborating with schools, local authorities, sports organizations, and other stakeholders to build a robust ecosystem that supports sports for development.
· Contributing to the design and implementation of effective sports programs tailored to the unique needs of different communities.
· Participating in exposure visits to successful sports initiatives to gain insights and best practices.
Stipend: INR 18,000 /- per month
Duration of the Fellowship: June 2024 to May 2026
