Overview of the Role

Researchers from CSBC and University of Chicago run many online experiments to gain insights on people’s decision making among students through the SONA system. The intern would be responsible for setting up appointments with respondents for them to be a part of the experiment. They would also be leading each experiment session with respondents where they have to explain study instructions to the respondents and responding to any queries or managing any other issues that may arise during an experiment session. The intern will report to their reporting manager on all activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting experiment sessions with respondents.
  • Setting up and keeping track of respondent appointments.
  • Maintain tracking sheets and any other documentation necessary.
  • Report on all activities, debrief and attend meetings with reporting manager.

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Should be comfortable reading, speaking and understanding Hindi and English.
  • Recent graduates in Economics, Psychology, Public Policy, Sociology or any other related field are strongly encouraged to apply. This role is not ideal for those who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program due to the time commitment required for the internship.
  • Candidate should have an interest in behavioural science and an interest in learning research implementation.
  • Candidates should have good communication skills.
  • Candidates should have a stable internet connection and access to a laptop.
  • Candidates should ideally be familiar with using Zoom.

Duration

2 months (possibility of extension subject to requirement).

Location

Work is remote. Applicants should be authorised to work in India.

Compensation

Rs. 10,000 per month
