SBI Foundation is looking to hire an Assistant Manager – Digital Communications who will be a part of the larger MarCom team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, creating high-quality, and compelling stories and thereby developing and strengthening the digital presence of SBI Foundation. The incumbent will ideate and deliver best-in-class social media posts that intrinsically align with the Foundation’s advocacy and visibility efforts, under the supervision of the MarCom lead. The primary work involves content writing, social media & website management. The Assistant Manager – Digital Communications is expected to have an astute understanding of the development sector, sensitivity to telling stories of the communities we work with and the resilience to work on multiple campaigns at a time. The incumbent shall work closely with the Graphic Designer and/or agencies.

Key Responsibilities

The person in this position will be responsible for the following:

  • Social media management: Manage all aspects of digital promotion of the designated programs all year round. Design of communications plan & strategy, identification of innovative efficient and targeted channels of communication, periodic activations and digital awareness campaigns, including writing creative copy, captions, proofreading, etc. Additionally, review content across partner NGOs’ social media channels.
  • Website management: Work with the website management team & IT head to ensure timely & accurate updates, accessibility-friendly features, and all necessary modern functionalities.
  • Coordination: External: Manage all vendors and agencies (any form of outsourced work) to ensure an integrated marketing approach to promotion. Internal: Coordinate with internal team heads & program managers and ensure all program updates, photos, videos, etc. are flowing in a structured and organised manner. Be a part of and contribute towards various organizational initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Mass Communication, or Management/Administration with 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Media & Communication, or Management/Administration with 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, or
  • Any other Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in digital marketing Prior experience in the development or CSR space will be preferred.

  • Research & Data Analytics: Frames sharp research questions, and collect relevant and accurate information/data from credible sources. Possess working knowledge in social media analysis, SEO, media spending (CPC & CPM) of digital branding campaigns, and website analytics. Working knowledge of AI tools is an added advantage.
  • Stakeholder Management: Understands the expectations of internal and external stakeholders and works to develop relationships towards a single goal/ project/ deliverable.

Passion for the development sector and the underprivileged communities we serve is a must. Although the individual will work in a small team, it is essential that the chosen candidate can work independently to complete the project deliverables in a time-bound manner.
