Job Description

The Assistant Manager – Fundraising will be a part of the online fundraising team and will be responsible for managing & operating online fundraising activities and engagement programs. 

He/she will be involved in coordinating and engaging volunteering teams,online fundraising platforms, other stakeholders within and outside the organization.  The ideal candidate should be able to exercise good judgment in dealing with donors & stakeholders, with strong written and verbal communication, presentation and networking skills.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage digital fundraising and engagement initiatives to acquire, renew and retain donors.
  • Plan and manage online events leading to fundraising for the organisation.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and processes related to online fundraising
  • Maintain the relevant data from a fundraising & donor management standpoint
  • Collate and publish reports analyzing fundraising initiatives

Other responsibilities:

  • Connect and engage with volunteers in various fundraising activities and events
  • Connect and engage with volunteers to educate and inspire them towards fundraising
  • Work with communications team to curate engaging content for the organisation’s website, social media etc that could lead to online fundraising.
  • Work with tech team to develop and maintain online fundraising system & tools
  • Manage fundraiser and donor retention initiatives

Requirements

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:

  • Any graduate or postgraduate
  • 2-4 years experience in sales, fundraising or customer service experience preferably on online channels and platforms.
  • Experience working with volunteers & in the development sector would be an advantage.
  • Candidates with volunteering experience in Bhumi or similar organisations preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent working knowledge in MS Excel
  • Ability to manage data efficiently.
  • Ability to take ownership of routine tasks.
  • Resourcefulness in being able to collate information from various sources
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Other Information: 

Scope: Full time

Reporting to: Manager – Fundraising

Remuneration: 4-6 Lakhs p.a. CTC based on the candidate’s experience

Expected joining date: Immediate.

Location: Chennai 

No. of positions: 1

Minimum commitment: 3 years
