Institutional Partnerships is the key focus area of our organisation and require a proactive and dynamic approach. The candidate should be dedicated and sincere towards her/his work and should always be open to learning new things. The candidate should have in-depth subject matter knowledge, expertise, and experience. Timely and high-quality delivery of goals would be essential and will be a key performance measurement criterion. S/he will work closely with the Institutional Partnerships team in India to develop new Government partnerships, foster and grow existing relationships, achieve, and grow geographies through successful tender and contract management, manage end-to-end documentation process for tender and other contract applications, and oversee seamless execution for each contract. S/he will be based out of Guwahati, Assam, India.
About You
- You are passionate about improving accessibility for affordable eyeglasses by leveraging Government networks.
- You know how to engage with the Government (both at the central and the state levels) and manage the tender process.
- You understand the dynamics of Government partnerships and are adept at key account management. In a high growth environment, you are achieving your targets, securing tenders, and forever scaling the level of engagement with the Government.
- You are passionate about and adept at institutional partnerships.
- You can oversee the end-to-end execution of a contract as per the pre-defined deliverables including account receivables.
- You have a knack for identifying ‘personality types’ which makes you an efficient and active relationship manager.
- You think the internet and online database is useful, but you get the biggest contracts through referrals and networking.
- You have a special talent for negotiating with partners and establishing long-term relationships with senior-level functionaries for a win-win closure of deals.
- You have the confidence and the communication skills to interact with the senior most people.

We are working to transform the systemic dysfunction which has failed to deliver eyeglasses – a 700-year-old technology – to approximately 60 Crore people in India in need of vision correction.We serve low-income people who are more than beneficiaries for us. Our beneficiaries expect high-quality eye-screenings and eyeglasses.To efficiently scale, we must deliver each new unit with less cost.We run our operations on metrics and social impact measures. We leverage a range of processes and practices to get the work done.We believe in scaling our impact, not our organisation. We are a lean team of doers.
What You’ll Do
- Develop strong relationships with government functionaries and others to establish trust and deliver world-class customer service and engagement.
- Achieve ambitious targets by creating opportunities for bidding and securing Government tenders and through other partnerships across India.
- Network and engage with the senior most functionaries to explore innovative concepts and new opportunities to take eyeglasses to those who lack access, awareness, and affordability.
- Keep a tab on new tender opportunities and expand their reach by finding new opportunities through research.
- Consistently follow-up and liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively travel across India for meetings and relationship management.
- Regularly maintain and update the leads and partner database.Map and manage key accounts and strengthen relationships with all key opinion makers and stakeholders.
- Conduct and attend educational and market development events such as workshops, seminars, conferences etc.
- Liaison with the supply chain team for the timely manufacturing and dispatch of all the tender- related orders as per the pre-defined specifications.Regularly follow-up with the Government and other partners for pre and post tender follow-ups and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in Government Tenders and/or Institutional Partnerships.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, within India.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and Assamese (All compulsory).
