As the Assistant Manager – HR, you will be the co-lead for School Support & Central Support teams at Akanksha. You will also assist Senior Director/ Senior Manager – HR in formulating and executing the Talent Strategy and People practices at Akanksha. You will co-create and shape the strategies for Talent Acquisition, Development, Engagement, and Retention such that people at Akanksha give their personal best, working together as a team towards the Akanksha Vision, Mission and reinforcing its values.
You will initially report to the Senior Director- HR. The reporting will move to Senior Manager-HR over the course of the year.
Specific responsibilities will include:
HR Tech, Analytics & Data
- Lead the implementation of an effective HRIS (Qandle) at Akanksha.
- Design a plan to create high adoption of HRMS across the organization.
- Work with HR – Manager on the HR data and responsible for maintaining its integrity across the organization.
- Tracking, monitoring, and reporting on key HR metrics and people-related data to enable data-driven decision-making.
HR Operations & Recruitment
- HR Partner for School support and Central support teams.
- Partner/Manage the talent acquisition process for central team roles, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Monitoring onboarding, training, and retention of high-caliber talent within the organization
Employee Engagement
- To engage with all functions and provide timely solutions and support in people-related issues eg team building & other interventions as needed
- Co-plan and Implement different forums/events like staff meetings, managers meetings, staff retreats, etc. in line with the overall vision and mission of Akanksha
- Be a “People Champion” by keeping their ear to the ground and ensuring concerns are raised and addressed with the appropriate people in the organization
Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of one Associate – HR and oversee the achievement of collective goals and annual plans
- Contribute to the HR team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities
What you need for this role:
● Deep belief and commitment towards Akanksha’s vision and mission
● Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
● Previous experience of working with & managing HR requirements in large people organizations
● Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
● Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
● Knowledge of HR best practices
● People-oriented and results-driven
● Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
● Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
● MBA in Human Resources or Master’s degree in a relevant field
