Job Opportunity for Associate, Accounting and Finance at Room to Read in Bangladesh – Main Dhaka

Responsibilities:
Review and process payment documents as per the Room to Read’s Finance policies, applicable country statutes and relevant SOP where applicable.
Assist the Accounting & Finance Director (AFD) to maintain records related to bookkeeping, expenses, funds, partnership ventures;
Review of expense reports, prepare vouchers, writing cheques, making online transfer, and timely disbursement to employees, partners and vendors;
Arrange approvals of the vouchers and payments following policies and DoA to ensure compliance government, donor and Room to Read as applicable.
In close coordination with Field/Sub Offices/Program Section, maintains a system to monitor and forecast cash requirements to meet administrative and project expenditures;
Assist AFD to prepare monthly cash requirements for the office and requests timely replenishment from GO;
Constantly reviews banking arrangements to ensure timely transfer of funds and minimize exchange loses and bank charges;
 In close coordination with Field Offices, coordinate replies to finance related audit comments;
Visit partner office, project office and field office at least once every three months or as per need.  During these visits, the Associate, A&F will be following a field visit program which will include detailed review of partner/project/field office documents, analysis of spending, compliance and similar activities. 
After each visit the Associate A&F will issue a written report to the Partner organization, Project office and Field Office Manager as applicable with a copy to AFD;
Support AFD, when required, for all Audits, financial analysis/reporting and during AP&B and quarterly forecasts;
Assist AFD in preparing financial reports by deadlines;
Prepare necessary schedules & assist internal & external audit;
 Assist AFD in developing documents related to NGO Affairs Bureau, contracts, annual budgets & revised budget of Room to Read & partners;
Play role as focal of Accounting and Finance team for VAT and Tax related issues;
Do all other activities as and when required as per need of the management and organization.
 

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Commerce/ Business Administration (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience of working in accounting and finance position;
Experience of working with NGO is preferred
Good interpersonal skills and a team player
Relevant computer-operating skills and relevant software
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
